You can now view your roadmap as a Timeline, alongside the existing Board view.
While the Board view is great for communicating priorities, goals, or team swimlanes, the new Timeline view helps you align on delivery dates — especially useful in planning discussions, leadership check-ins, or cross-team coordination.
Use-cases where Timeline view shines:
Getting all teams aligned on when major initiatives are expected to land.
Showing leadership how key projects stack up over time.
Spotting overlaps, gaps, or risks in delivery across multiple teams or projects.
How it works:
Switch from Board to Timeline in your roadmap’s Display options.
Set start and end date fields per project. Released will make a best guess based on your data, but you can adjust as needed. Each project can use its own date fields, so teams aren’t forced to standardize Jira setups.
