  Meet the Product Hub

  Stop sifting through Jira projects, Confluence pages, and PowerPoint presentations to find last quarter’s roadmap. Forget about that third-party roadmap tool you rarely used and that never synced well with Jira.

  The Product Hub brings all your roadmaps and release notes together in one central location.

  As the name implies, we created the Product Hub specifically for product teams that want to keep stakeholders informed—think sales and marketing teams, executives, customer success, or even external customers. Presenting a product roadmap once a quarter is a antiquated way of working. Things are constantly changing and teams need to move fast, which requires a much tighter collaboration loop with stakeholders. That’s what the Product Hub creates.

  The Product Hub consists of one or many portals, each representing a product, team, project, or specific communication channel like “Customer updates”.

  Directly Link to Issues in Roadmaps

  Our main feature this release is subtle, but powerful. You can now link directly to open issues within the embedded roadmap, making it a breeze to share a specific roadmap item with your stakeholders. Clicking a roadmap card will now append the issue ID to the URL, and you can copy it directly from the browser’s location bar. We’ve also updated the embedded Page URLs to better differentiate between different kinds of content, but don’t worry! Any existing links you’ve shared will transparently be rewritten to the new format and continue working just fine.

  Locale Settings Update Fixed an issue where changes to a portal’s locale settings were not always persisted.

  Sydney Theme Empty Title Fix The header in the Sydney theme now consistently displays your metadata (e.g. login area, company name, and logo) even when a title is not provided.

  Theme improvements

  The team has been working hard on portal access behind the scenes, and we are tracking well to get the feature in your hands as an early Christmas present. We can’t wait for you to try it.

  In the meantime, we also squashed a couple minor bugs and made some small, but great improvements to the new Sydney theme.

  We’ve adjusted the size of the roadmap background, so you never end up with a boring, white screen. The colors are of course customizable, allowing you to match your brand perfectly.

  Unlike the San Francisco theme with it’s timeline style changelog, the Sydney theme has a more traditional blog style overview with excerpts for each entry. Previously excerprts wereb’t great. They included the first heading (if there was one) and even parts of images. We adjusted it and now use the first paragraph as the excerpt… cutting it off after a max number of characters.

  The result looks much cleaner and is more much useful.
