While the team is working hard on authentication for the portals, we’ve shipped a whole bunch of fixes and improvements in the past few weeks. Here are the most important ones.

New portal cards

We never loved the old portal cards. They were fine for the early beta, but before the public release of the Product Hub (which we are expecting for later this month), we really wanted to revamp them.

For the re-design we had a few goals:

Make each card more unique and bring through some of the branding of each portal.
Provide direct links to the roadmap and changelog.
Let viewers know when there is a new post, and make recent posts easily accessible.
Eliminate the large whitespace when there are no posts.

Edit Product Hub Settings for All Users

All Jira users can now modify the Product Hub settings, removing the previous restriction that limited this capability to Jira admins. This enhancement empowers teams with greater flexibility to adjust Product Hub designs directly without administrative delays, ensuring that relevant stakeholders can make necessary updates in real-time.

Bug fixes and Improvements

Workspace Terminology Update The internal view previously known as "portal" has been renamed to "workspace" for clearer distinction between internal and customer/stakeholder interfaces.
Add permalink routes for issues in the embedded roadmap You can now link directly to open issues within the embedded roadmap, enhancing navigability and access. This feature allows you to reference specific issues via URL, making it easier to share and collaborate on particular tasks directly from the embedded roadmap view.
Dark Mode Compatibility in Safari A bug in Safari 18.2 on macOS presents a light background instead of dark mode, affecting user experience and needing investigation.
Email Cover Image Margin Fix Resolved an issue where no margin was present between a cover image and the first image in the body of an email post, ensuring consistent spacing for improved visual presentation.
Locale Settings Update Fixed an issue where locale settings were not saved and returned correctly in the API response.
Sydney Theme Header Visibility Enhancement The header now consistently displays the login area, company name, and logo even when a title is not present.
Portal Preview Realtime Color Update Color settings in the portal preview now update in real time when configured to display only the Roadmap.
Rating Fields Visibility on Roadmap The Jira Product Discovery rating fields are now reinstated for visibility on the roadmap view, ensuring important metrics are readily accessible.
Gap Alignment Fix for Email Settings Corrected the visual gap inconsistencies between email settings and the subscriber list when email settings are disabled.
Confluence Space Drop-Down Update All Confluence spaces, including Collaboration and Knowledge Base types, are now visible in the drop-down menu by filtering personal spaces separately.
Separate Workspace and Portal Settings The Access page now features distinct sections for Workspace and Portal settings, enhancing clarity and ease of navigation.
